From Kensington Gardens to Tower Bridge
As I walked in Hyde Park, via Kensington Gardens, on my way to the French Consulate (South Kensington), and then from there to Hyde Park Corner via Knightsbridge, it felt good, I felt good. There's something I love about London, its vastness, its greenness (and yes, its ducks, but need I mention it?). I even thought "I'm in London, I'm home, again". After living there for a year and 3 months, my being there again felt just right. Somehow I don't get that feeling in Paris, although I think it's more beautiful than London.
But there's something disturbing about London. Its excessive wealth makes me lose sight of what lies behind such an exhibition of luxury cars, perfect suits, flawless faces and shining storefronts. And while I wouldn't want to live in Paris, I miss its spirit, its romanticism...
But London... Ha London...
It's hard to explain, but London ROCKS !
Kensington Gardens, fountains and swans...

And suddenly, a white curtain of hail and snow fell on The Mall.

Weather-wise (no, it's not such a lovely day*), it was an interesting Monday. Hail quickly gave way to sunshine, which in turn let the rainy clouds come back... Hence these nice pictures of what I would describe as "powerful sky"... Huge, dark clouds, strong rays of light piercing through them...

*: let me explain the joke:
Weather-wise it's such a lovely day
You just say the words and we'll beat the birds
Down to Acapulco Bay
It's perfect for a flying honeymoon, they say
Come fly with me, let's fly, let's fly
Pack up, let's fly away!!

Ok je vais me coucher
Good post.
