It’s now a month since I arrived in Bath. So far, so good. The University is a really nice place, despite my being there only 8 hours a week. I’ve done a lot of “hiking” (more like fast walking) in and around Bath. I’ve found the Cotswold Way and the Bath Skyline trail, which I will explore as soon as possible, without rain if possible.
I’ve been to the Roman baths, the Royal Crescent, visited a Georgian-style house, been to a Thai restaurant, Garfunkel’s, the cinema (Music and Lyrics!), Starbucks Coffee (not counting anymore), walked along the Kennet and Avon canal and the river Avon, found a pub called the Boat House that sells Brains beer in Bath, been to Prior Park, to 2 churchyards (must be my gothic side), to Cardiff, discovered Bath ales, am getting used to the local girls’ taste for not wearing many clothes when they go partying (believe me, this is NOT something you want to see).
I am now desperate for one or two FULL days of sun (not when I’m in class please)…
And for those of you who want to know, well no, I still haven’t got a clue what I want to do after my studies, so I will probably travel until I run out of money and then will live a clandestine life deep in the Amazonian forest, with the money I’ll have made by selling the book I’ll have written by then.
More pictures to come, including Prior Park, my yellow duck and other stuff...
